The St. Raphael Fund recently supported airfare for five soldiers from the 200th Engineer Company to attend the company's homecoming gathering May 16.
The company spent 12 months in Afghanistan primarily building, guarding and removing bridges, saving hundreds of miles of travel for U.S. and coalition forces.
The soldiers, SSG Grant McGill, CPT James Forbes, 1LT Josh Lien, SSG Blake Torrence and SPC Benjamin Kraft are shown (at right) with family members at the homecoming event.
Because of processing issues, the soldiers would not have been able to attend the homecoming without the support of the St. Raphael Fund.
If you would like to support the St. Raphael Fund, contact the Catholic Foundation for Eastern South Dakota, 605-988-3788.
