Mother Teresa Endowment Fund
The Mother Teresa Endowment is a fund established by the Catholic Diocese
of Sioux Falls and Catholic Family Services to provide financial assistance to individuals
or couples experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and who have considered abortion
because of limited financial resources. Catholic Family SErvices provides free pregnancy
counseling and will work with the birth parents to determine the community resources
they are qualified to recieve. The Mother Teresa Endowment Fund assists with legitiate
costs that are not coverd by these community resources.
Expenses the Mother Teresa Endowment fund may cover are: Prenatal clinic costs,
hospital and birthing expenses not covered by insurance or Medicaid, Temporary rent
payments wshould bed rest during pregnancy be required, maternity clothes, utility
bills and other expenses incurred if the birth mother is unable to work.
Procedures:
- Obtain from Catholic Family Services an application form, fill out and skip steps

Return the completed orm to Catholic Family Services

Sign appropriate release forms

Submit copies of bills related to the request.

Responses take 3-4 weeks.
Gift of Hope Endowment Fund
The Gift of Hope Endowment is a fund established by Catholic Family Services
of the Catholic Diocese of Sioux Falls to insure the continuance of the Divorced,
Widowed and Separated support groups and to expand services to these people. Interest
generated by this fund assists with salary and rent costs of the DWS Program and
provides grants to participants who find the support group fees a heavy burden.
This fund was established in 2000 as a part of the 40th Anniversary Celebration
of Catholic Family SErvices. Ptograms supporting the divorced, widowed and separated
have been part of Catholic Family Services since its beginning.
Investment of the monies in the Gift of Hope Endowment fund is under the management
of the Catholic Foundation of Easter South Dakoat. Contributions to the fund are
made through Catholic Family Services. Participants in the Divorced, Widowed and
Separated support groups needing assistance with fees should contact Catholic Family
Services. |
